Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 July 2026 · Unbed, made by Dobreon sp. z o.o.
Unbed is an alarm clock. It needs to know when to wake you and what you told it to look for, and it needs almost nothing else. This page describes exactly what that means.
There is no account
You don't sign up, and you don't give us a name, an email address or a phone number to use the app. We have no way to identify you.
What stays on your iPhone
All of the following is stored on your device and is never sent to us:
- Your alarms — times, days, chosen task, and settings.
- The barcodes you register, and the names you give them.
- Your wake-up history: when alarms rang, how long you took, whether the task was completed.
- Your streak and statistics, which are calculated from that history on the device.
If you delete the app, this goes with it. We keep no copy, because we never had one.
Camera
The camera is used to read a barcode or recognise an object while a task is in progress. The video is processed live, on your device. No photo or video is saved, and none of it is transmitted anywhere. Only the resulting code — a short string of digits — is compared against the ones you registered.
Motion and steps
With your permission, Unbed reads motion and step data to confirm you physically got up rather than scanning a photo of a barcode from bed. This is read on the device, used in the moment, and not transmitted. Declining this permission leaves the app working; it only turns off that particular check.
Notifications and alarms
Unbed asks for permission to schedule alarms so they can ring at the time you set, including when your iPhone is in Silent Mode or a Focus. This permission is used for nothing else.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your payment details — Apple does not share them with developers.
To know whether your subscription is active, we use Adapty, a subscription management service. Adapty receives a randomly generated identifier for your installation along with purchase and device information (such as device model and operating system version). That identifier is not linked to your name or to any account, because there isn't one. Adapty's own privacy policy is at adapty.io/privacy.
What we don't do
- We don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't ask for permission to, because we have no use for it.
- We don't sell or share your data with data brokers or advertisers.
- We don't build a profile of you.
- We don't record audio, and we don't listen while you sleep.
Children
Unbed isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, you are already in control of it: deleting a barcode, clearing your history in Settings, or removing the app erases it. If you would like the purchase records held by our subscription provider deleted, write to us and we'll arrange it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the GDPR or similar laws — the same address covers those requests.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we'll update the date at the top and describe the change in the app's release notes.
