These terms cover using Unbed and buying a subscription to it. They are written to be read rather than skimmed past.
What Unbed is
Unbed is an alarm clock for iPhone that keeps ringing until you complete a task — usually walking to a barcode you registered and scanning it.
It is not a medical device and it makes no health claims. It is an alarm, and it depends on your iPhone being switched on, charged, and having the alarm permission you granted. As with every alarm app on iOS, lowering the volume silences the sound, and deleting the app removes the alarms with it. We say this plainly here and on the App Store rather than leaving you to find it out at 7am.
The free tier
One wake-up, one barcode, the barcode and maths tasks, and your full wake-up record are free and stay free. There is no countdown on them. The checks that stop someone scanning a photograph of a barcode from bed are on for everyone, paid or not.
The subscription
Unbed Premium unlocks additional wake-ups, unlimited barcodes and the remaining tasks. It is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through your Apple Account.
- The length of each option, its price in your local currency, and the length of any free trial are shown on the purchase screen inside the app before you confirm anything. Those figures are the binding ones; nothing on this page overrides what you were shown.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before that period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- If a free trial is offered and you don't cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription at the price you were shown. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Apple's rules allow one introductory offer per subscription group per Apple Account. If you have used one before, the app will show you the standard price instead.
Cancelling
You cancel in iOS Settings, not in Unbed: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and you keep the free tier afterwards.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple and not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app didn't work as described, write to us anyway: we would rather hear it and fix it.
Restoring a purchase
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Tap Restore purchases on the purchase screen or in the app's Settings, signed in with the same Apple Account. There is nothing to remember and no password to recover, because there is no account with us.
Fair use
Please don't attempt to break, reverse-engineer or resell the app, and don't use it to harm anyone. That is the whole list.
What we owe you, and what we don't
We will keep the app working as described and fix what breaks. Beyond that, Unbed is provided as it is: we can't promise it will suit every purpose, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what follows from oversleeping. Use a second alarm for a flight. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Changes
If these terms change materially we'll update the date at the top and note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Unbed after that means the updated terms apply.
Who we are, and the law that applies
Unbed is made by Dobreon sp. z o.o., registered in Poland. These terms are governed by Polish law, without displacing any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
